I believe all mental, physical, & emotional suffering is the result of a spiritual disconnection from our True Self. Our True Self is how we experience ourselves when we feel inspired, joyful, eager, excited, connected, fun, and purposeful. Our best self.
The Kindness Solution is a process of developing a deep, intimate relationship with yourself in order to connect with your personal truth and having the courage and conviction to stand in that truth and teaching our kids to do the same so we can all be stewards of one another’s spirits.
We teach kids, tweens, and teens that we are all good at the core and to recognize that bullying and cyberbullying as a way to feel significant is both harmful and ineffective to both parties. How can we put others down and feel good about ourselves? Hurtful words and actions cause serious lasting mental and emotional harm that is unnecessary. Love, encouragement, and kindness always win.
We share with parents, educators, and community leaders 4 ways that we can reconnect with the truth of who we are and what we came here to be and do, with the intention of being the most kind to ourselves, all living beings, and our earth.
Kindness starts with…
1. How we treat our Mind, Body, & Spirit. It can be as simple as our thoughts, the food and movement we gift to our bodies, and the permission we give ourselves to be our authentic selves.
2. Making all of your decisions from a place of Consciousness & Compassion. This directly relates to our experiences with other humans, animals, & the environment, and it includes the food we buy, the personal products we use, and the businesses we chose to give our money to.
3. Learning to be an Advocate for yourself, as well as the causes and social issues that affect or concern you. In order to solve the problems that upset, anger and/or sadden us we need to stand up, use our voices and take action. We need to encourage and uplift others. We must decide to become the leaders that this world needs in order to put a stop to the things that we find unjust, and in order to help those who are suffering or marginalized. Each and every one of us can make an impact.
4. Creating Cultures of Kindness. Parents and kids can create meaningful rituals to stay connected at home in this busy, lightning paced, digital world we live in. Kindness always starts at home with the people we love (and who trigger us!) the most. Then we can spread kindness within our schools, workplaces, online and local communities. Through our every day living and various initiatives we participate in or lead, we can create cultures of empathy, love and genuine kindness.
The mission of The Kindness Solution is a movement to promote radical kindness toward ourselves, all living beings, and our earth.
