So much of our suffering comes from expectations about how our lives are “supposed to” be.
It’s worthwhile to consider the question “supposed to” according to who?!?!
The truth is, life is always in flux and ebbs and flows between ups and downs and a lot of mundane in between.
When we learn to become masters of our own emotions s the mending we give to things, we can then create life in our own terms.
Consider these more empowering questions:
What if what feels like our worst problem turns out to be the best thing that could have happened?
What if everything that is happening “to” you is really happening “for” you?
What if the rejection you are experiencing is really God’s protection?
