“I’m a million different people from one day to the next”, so it’s hard to narrow “Who I Am” to a couple of web-friendly paragraphs, as that continues to unfold on a daily basis!
I have been on a 20+ year quest for truth and self-actualization that has manifested in a variety of ways both personally and professionally over the past several years. I am a wife and mom who is doing my best to use the ups and downs of marriage and parenting as a pathway to forgiveness and growth, and thus, a recovering Type-A perfectionist, who is learning to practice patience, compassion, non-judgement and kindness towards myself and others on a daily basis.
Being a parent in this lightning-paced, digital world and a proponent for true health and wellness from the inside out has led a pretty wide range of passions, interests, causes, and missions that I’m pretty fired up about.
I have spent most of my career in recruiting and sales, and I have found great fulfillment in partnering with hiring organizations in a way that decreases their frustration, time, and cost associated with searching for exceptional hard-to-find talent. I head up contract negotiations and lead strategic partnerships for the fastest-growing cyber security search firm in the country. I adore people and learning their “why’s” and I live for conferences – nothing beats the learning and synergy of face-to-face connections of live events.
I love sharing food, places, products, & services that are kind to your body, mind, and soul, and I have come to believe in a holistic and integrative approach to healing through alternative approaches that treat the whole body.
In my copious spare time between working full-time and having 2 kids, I became a Certified Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) so I could continue connecting the dots between how food and lifestyle choices affect how we show up for just about everything.
I studied with many of the leading medical doctors, PhDs, researchers and authorities in nutrition today, covering over 150 dietary theories and taking a holistic approach to wellness that includes looking at the quality of your relationships, career fulfillment, self-expression, and spirituality as essential components to building good health.
What I have discovered is that there is no one way of eating that works for everyone. We need a deeper perspective that integrates nutritional science, biological individuality, and most importantly, learning how to listen to our bodies for what they truly need.
I encourage you to experiment with new foods and pay close attention to your body’s responses. Being healthy is not about willpower or discipline – it’s about asking yourself what you are really hungry for from a mind, body, spirit perspective, what nourishes you, and ultimately what brings you joy and fulfillment so you can experience yourself as your true self, your best self.
I get heart palpitations when I discover things that I feel I MUST share with others, so I’m super excited to showcase them here. I have great admiration and respect for anyone who is passionate & dedicated to creating innovative, amazing products and services that aim to create true health, vitality, and happiness from the inside out!
I founded the The Kindness Solution because I believe all mental, physical, and emotional suffering is a result of spiritual disconnection from our True Self . We can always reconnect with our authentic self through kindness by developing a deep, intimate relationship with ourselves / our Source, whatever you believe that to be. When you remember who you really are, you will have the courage and conviction to stand in your truth.
I also started a Kindness Matters movement a few years ago, which was inspired by my two children. I used my desire to spread kindness as a way to help them understand the profound power and impact that their words and actions have in their own lives, and in the lives of others, at home in our family, at school, in our communities, and online. Now we enjoy spreading #kindness throughout our local community here in Fairfield County, CT and #cyberkindness online and hope to inspire you to create kindness dialogues and initiatives in your own communities.
It’s my hope that you will find something here that will uplift, encourage, or inspire you to try something new, look at something in a different way, and most importantly, find more compassion toward yourself, all living beings, and the earth we share so you can look at every aspect of your life through the lens of kindness.
